FAQWelcome to the FAQ section of OLA Manufacturing Platform! Here are some answers to frequently asked questions about our platform and the services we offer for the 4 industries we manage: 3D printing, Injection molding, CNC Machining, and Sheet metal fabrication.

  • Can you print soft silicone/rubber parts?

Yes! Use TPU (SLS) for flexible hinges or silicone-like resins (SLA) for soft grips. Shore hardness ranges from 20A (ultra-soft) to 90A (rigid).

  • Can polyurethanes be reinforced?

Yes. Adding carbon fiber or glass fiber improves stiffness and heat resistance. For example, carbon-reinforced PU suits robotic joints or automotive mounts.

  • What is polyurethane resin?

Polyurethane (PU) resin mimics rubber-like flexibility (Shore 60A-90A). It’s used for seals, gaskets, or ergonomic prototypes. Offers high tear resistance and durability.

  • Do you offer materials consulting?

Yes! Our engineers provide free material selection guidance based on your project’s mechanical, thermal, and budgetary needs. Share your requirements for tailored solutions.

  • Are your materials certified (ISO, FDA, etc.)?

All materials comply with ISO 9001/13485 and FDA standards for medical, food-safe, and aerospace applications. Certificates are available upon request. Need a specific compliance? Contact our quality team.

  • Can you handle high-performance materials like PEEK or carbon fiber?

Absolutely. We specialize in engineering-grade materials like PEEK (FDM), carbon fiber composites (FGF), and aluminum alloys (SLM). These materials withstand extreme temperatures, chemicals, and mechanical loads, ideal for aerospace, automotive, and industrial tooling.

  • Do you provide eco-friendly or recycled materials?

Yes! We support sustainable 3D printing with biodegradable PLA, recycled PETG, and upcycled nylon powder (SLS/MJF). Our processes minimize waste, and unused metal powders are reused. Request an “eco-audit” to reduce your project’s carbon footprint.

  • How to choose the right material for my project?

Select materials based on strength, temperature resistance, flexibility, and budget. For functional prototypes, use ABS or nylon; metal alloys (SLM) suit high-stress parts, while resin (SLA) offers smooth finishes. Our team provides free material recommendations via instant quotes. Share your project goals for tailored advice!

  • What materials do you offer for 3D printing?

At OLA, we provide 30+ materials for metal, plastic, and resin 3D printing, including titanium (SLM), nylon (SLS/MJF), photopolymers (SLA/DLP/LCD), and engineering-grade options like PEEK and carbon fiber composites (FDM/FGF). Our  eco-friendly range includes biodegradable PLA and recycled nylon. All materials meet ISO/FDA certifications for aerospace, medical, and industrial applications.
